Clove Hitch

BeginnerCamping & Utility

A quick hitch for tying a rope to a post, pole, or ring, made from two simple loops stacked on top of each other. Fast to tie and untie, and easy to adjust — though it can slip under a steady one-directional pull, so it's best backed up for critical loads.
